Mom donates kidney to her 4-year old daughter at University of Minnesota Amplatz Childrens' Hospital

In February of 2009, 4-year-old Lexi's mother gave her the gift of life -- for the second time. Lexi has a rare form of kidney disease. It's so rare that only about 14 children in the world have been diagnosed with the disease. Her mother's gift of a donated kidney gave Lexi a second chance at life. Click here to view the WCCO broadcast of Lexi's story

University of Minnesota Medical Center has the world's largest living donor kidney program. Click here to learn more about How to Donate an Organ.
